What Are We To Do When We Entrust Our Lives Into The Hands Of The Enemies Of Liberty?

“When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.”


The words of Thomas Jefferson above, resonate as loudly today as they did in 1776, as they should. Questioning the extent of despotic excess is in the political DNA of the American experience.


Today, we face a government that has reached its tentacles into nearly every aspect of our lives: something that would have horrified the founders. However, we must ask ourselves: Is it the US Constitution that needs to be “dissolved” or is it the people in the halls of government, who have abused their position and neglected their responsibilities, who need to be removed at all costs?


Natural rights are those with which a person is born. Among those rights are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Also, among those rights are free speech/opinion, religion, and personal defense.


Those things which infringe on another person’s rights or cause physical or financial burden to another can never be considered natural human rights.


If a person throws himself in front of a bus to save another, that is heroic. If a person throws another in front of a bus to save himself, that is cowardice and an infringement on the rights of the injured. It is in effect despotism, tyranny, fascism.


Charity comes from a generous heart.

Taxes come from a heart of theft.


Taxes should, therefore, be limited to the use of infrastructure, national defense, and temporary funding for emergency aid for natural disasters and to those in financial distress.


When government forces its citizens to purchase health insurance or risk financial penalty, that is theft.


When the government taxes us to pay for abortions with disregard to our moral or religious code of ethics, that is theft.


When it mandates we take vaccinations that used aborted babies in the development of those vaccinations, that is theft.


So much more could be said about the level of evil it takes to deny a developing baby its life and liberty but for the sake of brevity, I must move forward.


We have come to a point in our country’s history where even our elected officials have usurped the law by ignoring the Constitution.


They have trampled on our natural rights and/or allowed the enemies of freedom to infringe on those rights. Instead of protecting us from those who want our rights abolished, they have abandoned us and looked the other way.



Politicians have protected pharmaceutical companies from liability. They have allowed them to recommend to us poison over proven medicine and fear over science.


They have socialized the education system and inundated it with teachers who are followers of Marxist ideology whose primary objective is to indoctrinate our children and grandchildren to hate themselves and the greatest country in history and adopt a belief in statism and debauchery.


They erroneously assume the role of royalty and act as if they are the rulers of the electorate, for whom they work.


The founders of this country won their independence from the rule of a king. We will not return to serving a king or a body of kings. Neither will we allow those, elected to represent us, assume that they were promoted to the role of prince or princess.

On the contrary, they were elected to the role of steward of the people and need to be reminded that this is the job we pay them for.


Thomas Paine pointed to the biblical story of Gideon to show the colonists that man was meant to serve only one ruler: his god.



Paine went on, using an example from 1Samuel, to point out that it was unnatural and displeased God that his people would demand to be ruled by mere mortals.


When Samuel grew old, he appointed his sons as Israel’s leaders. The name of his firstborn was Joel and the name of his second was Abijah, and they served at Beersheba. But his sons did not follow his ways. They turned aside after dishonest gain and accepted bribes and perverted justice.


So, all the elders of Israel gathered together and came to Samuel at Ramah. They said to him, “You are old, and your sons do not follow your ways; now appoint a king to lead us, such as all the other nations have.”


But when they said, “Give us a king to lead us,” this displeased Samuel; so, he prayed to the Lord. And the Lord told him: “Listen to all that the people are saying to you; it is not you they have rejected, but they have rejected me as their king. As they have done from the day I brought them up out of Egypt until this day, forsaking me and serving other gods, so they are doing to you. Now listen to them; but warn them solemnly and let them know what the king who will reign over them will claim as his rights.”


Samuel told all the words of the Lord to the people who were asking him for a king.

He said, “This is what the king who will reign over you will claim as his rights: He will take your sons and make them serve with his chariots and horses, and they will run in front of his chariots. Some he will assign to be commanders of thousands and commanders of fifties, and others to plow his ground and reap his harvest, and still others to make weapons of war and equipment for his chariots. He will take your daughters to be perfumers and cooks and bakers.


He will take the best of your fields and vineyards and olive groves and give them to his attendants. He will take a tenth of your grain and of your vintage and give it to his officials and attendants. Your male and female servants and the best of your cattle and donkeys he will take for his own use. He will take a tenth of your flocks, and you yourselves will become his slaves. When that day comes, you will cry out for relief from the king you have chosen, but the Lord will not answer you in that day.”


But the people refused to listen to Samuel. “No!” they said. “We want a king over us. Then we will be like all the other nations, with a king to lead us and to go out before us and fight our battles.”


When Samuel heard all that, the people said, he repeated it before the Lord. The Lord answered, “Listen to them and give them a king.” -1Samuel 8:1-22


Grievously, we are seeing a leadership like Samuel described beginning to manifest in our country, today.


We, as a nation, have turned away from God. We have indulged in the Marxist media’s temptations.


The Media, using lies and debauchery, has disintegrated our morality. I, myself, am as guilty as nearly all citizens of feeding on the “news and entertainment”, which is actually propaganda disseminated by the Marxists who have infiltrated the media.


Is it any wonder that despots have been allowed to usurp our rights and take our liberties as would kings or oligarchs?


Isn’t it also ironic that the majority of the Marxists/Socialists, who long for a centralized government that controls nearly every aspect of our lives, are more likely to reject God while looking to human politicians to be their saviors? If God is not sufficient, you can be sure, a politician never will be.

It was argued, during the early stages of the formation of the US Constitution, that a Bill of Rights would be superfluous: that the rights of the people would manifest by mere virtue of the Constitution’s existence.


However, time has proven that those who oppose freedom have been fighting, persistently, to remove all of our basic natural rights. The Bill of Rights is the only thing that spared us of complete tyranny, thus far.


However, you can be sure, the Despotic-rats in office are working desperately to remove those rights, as soon as they can. It is more than evident that it is not the Constitution that is the problem. It is the corrupt politicians who ignore it in favor of their own gain.


It is the primary duty of the government to protect its citizens. Yet, this government arms our enemies, leaves our borders wide open, and even invites invasion.


Clearly, our best interests are not their primary concern. It is more likely that their objective is to destabilize our society and culture and strip us of our liberty while consolidating the power into the centralized government that they will command.


What are we to do when we entrust our lives into the hands of the enemies of liberty?


Lest we be serfs already, the Constitution still gives us the right, the privilege, and the duty, to reject the usurpations of the fascist tyrants.


Now is the time for a new Declaration.

Now is the time for planting the seeds of our national revival.
